indirectly heated cathodes. It was originally designed in the
1930’s as an audio frequency voltage amplifier. It is a
pre-cursor to the B9A ECC series. It was widely used for input
amplification in older audio amplifiers. The Golden Dragon
6SL7GT is an excellent example manufactured in China to strict
UK specification and should not be confused with the inferior
examples of the same tube types which are available at a lower
price elsewhere but which are not considered of sufficient
quality to be included in the Golden Dragon range.

KT88 Retro
The Golden Dragon KT88
Retro is produced to a similar shape to the original GEC/MO
design, and has identical operating characteristics. The GECKT88
was a higher power version of the original KT66. Developed in
the heyday of push-pull working its relatively high output makes
it ideal for driving difficult loads of current-hungry speakers.
Although it can be used in single-ended circuitry, it’s more
common usage is as a push-pull pair where it’s low screen
current properties give it high power efficiency. The Golden
Dragon KT88 Retro sets the standard for others to meet . It’s
